WARNER, S.D.(Press Release)- The Warner Fire Department responded to a house fire that occured early Thursday morning(12:12A.M.)
According to the press release:
“When fire crews arrived on scene, they found a split-level residence that had active fire showing through the roof of the garage and residence. Warner fire crews quickly hit the fire from outside the residence and then made an initial fire attack inside the residence. Aberdeen Rural Fire Department was dispatched as mutual aid. Aberdeen rural units arrived on scene and assisted with the fire attack inside the residence. At about 12:44A.M. the fire was completely extinguished and overhaul for hotspots in the attic began.”
No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation. Press release indicate “It is believed that fireworks were involved in the ignition of the fire.”
Along with the Aberdeen Rural Fire Department, other offering assistance include the Brown County Emergency Management, Brown County Sheriff’s Office, Brown County Communications Center, American Red Cross and Northern Electric.
