Watertown Fire Department respond to camper fire

WATERTOWN, S.D. (KWAT)–Watertown Fire Rescue was called out to a camper fire Monday night.

The call came in just before 9 p.m.

The 5th wheel camper that was on fire was parked in a storage lot behind Woody’s Sports Bar on west Highway 212.

Flames were visible through the roof of the camper.

Firefighters were able to knock down the fire within five minutes of arrival.

A search of the camper found no victims, and there were no injuries.

There was no indication how the fire started.
