ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Monday night, the Aberdeen City Council discuss boundary line highways in conjunction with the Brown County Commission. On Tuesday, the Brown County Commission addressed that at the meeting.
Brown County Highway Superintendent Dirk Rogers discuss what’s the goal of the agreement with the city of Aberdeen.
Rogers stated some examples.
Rogers discuss what could be the financial impact for the county.
Rogers believe that communication will be the key to making this work.
This stems from legislation passed by the South Dakota Legislature in 2024. HB1229 was authored by Senator Carl Perry who was a House Representative that year and he talks about hos that bill came about.
The Brown County Commission approved the agreement.
