Duluth, MN (NSUWolves.com) [Day 2 of 3] – Following the first full day of competition from the NSIC Outdoor Championships, the Northern State University track and field teams recorded one individual title and four all-conference performances. The Wolves sit sixth on the men’s side with 27 points and tied for fourth on the women’s side with 22 points. They head into the final day with nine qualified for finals events on the track.
HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE MEN
- Sean Juengst finished sixth in the decathlon with 5,738 points, notching marks of 12.03 in the 100m, 5.90m in the long jump, 10.31m in the shot put, 1.76m in the high jump, 55.10 in the 400m, 18.11 in the 110m hurdles, 31.44m in the discus, 4.26m in the pole vault, 45.32m in the javelin, and 4:50.16 in the 1500m
- Chris Weber qualified for finals in the 100m with a time of 10.35
- Joel Matehs heads into the 110m hurdle finals with the sixth fastest time of 14.35 and the 400m hurdles with a personal best time of 54.43 in eighth overall
- Jonathan Burkhalter finished as the runner-up in the 3000m steeplechase, earning all-conference honors with his time of 9:11.96
- Jeffrey Boschee took fourth in the high jump, earning five team points with his 2.02m mark
- Jayden Munroe brought home the first conference championship of the meet, winning the long jump with a 7.43m mark; just shy of his personal best in the event
- Ethan Barnett took eighth in the shot put, throwing 16.14m

- Morgan Sheldon earned all-conference accolades in the heptathlon, taking third and breaking the school record with 4,830 points; she notched marks of 14.64 in the 100m hurdles, 1.59m in the high jump, 11.61m in the shot put, 26.89 in the 200m, 5.19m in the long jump, 34.69m in the javelin, and 2:30.91 in the 800m
- Renea Taylor will race the Saturday finals of the 100m hurdles, recording a prelims time of 14.21, and the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:02.80
- Elisabet Osk Jonsdottir qualified for the finals of the 400m hurdles behind Taylor with a personal best time of 1:04.42
- Anna Skachenko qualified for finals in the 400m with a personal best time of 57.18 in seventh overall
- Summer Carlson and Alli Jackson will race the finals of the 800m, notching times of 2:13.43 and 2:15.68; Carlson broke the school record in the event which dated back to 1985
- Romane Maugest and Bekah Walz scored for the Wolves in the pole vault, taking second and fourth with jumps of 3.71m and 3.61m; the performance earned Maugest her second all-conference award of the season
- Grace Kuch added team points in the shot put, tossing 13.62m in fifth overall
- Season and personal bests for the women include Skachenko in the 400m, Jonsdottir in the 400m hurdles, Carlson in the 800m, Jackson in the 800m, Sheldon in the 800m, Addison Cumbow in the 800m, and Jolie Dugan in the 3000m steeplechase.

Duluth, MN (NSUWolves.com) [Day 3 of 3] – The Northern State University track and field teams tallied seven all-conference performance and two conference championships on the final day of action from the NSIC Outdoor Championships. The Northern State men finished third with 94.5 points, while the women took sixth with 54 points. The men took third from the 2024 championships, marking their best back-to-back finishes in over a decade.
HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE MEN
- Chris Weber followed up his prelims performance in the 100m, taking second with a school record time of 10.29 and All-Conference performance
- In the 110m hurdles, Joel Matehs took seventh, clocking in at 14.72
- Matehs went on to take eighth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 57.76
- Justin Jacobson took seventh in the discus, tossing 49.26m
- Carson Barnett and Levi Reis capped off their one-two punch season in the javelin taking the top two spots yet again; Barnett won his second NSIC Championship with a 61.98m throw, followed by Reis throwing 59.79m to earn All-Conference
- Damon Roggenbuck followed the pair, taking seventh in the javelin with a 51.52m toss
- Four Wolves placed in the top-8 of the pole vault, led by NSIC Champion Sam Tremelling with a 4.66m mark
- Eli Radtke took third, jumping 4.46m, Isaac Ligon took fifth, jumping 4.31m, and Jeff Boschee took seventh, jumping 4.31m
- For the second straight day Jayden Munroe earned All-Conference, finishing second in the triple jump with a 14.75m leap
- The 4x100m relay of Matehs, Peyton Mausbach, Ty Kadlec, and Weber took fourth overall, crossing the finish line in a season best time of 41.22
- Season and personal bests for the men from the full meet include Ross Kortenbusch in the 110m hurdles and 1500m, Juengst in the 400m and 1500m, Matehs in the 400m hurdles, Luke Campbell in the 400m hurdles, and Blake Stoks in the 3000m steeplechase, and the 4x100m relay
HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE WOMEN
- Renea Taylor finished eighth in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.47 and fourth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:02.56
- Anna Skachenko added an eighth place finish in the 400m, crossing the finish line in 57.53
- Elisabet Osk Jonsdottir added an eighth place finish in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:05.94
- Alli Jackson and Summer Carlson scored for NSU in the 800m taking third and fourth respectively with times of 2:12.16 and 2:14.20; Jackson earned All-Conference honors for her third place finish
- Andi Mehrer took sixth in the discus with a 44.15m throw
- Macoya Hansen threw 40.06m in the javelin, taking fourth overall from her first NSIC meet
- The 4x100m relay team of Jonsdottir, Taylor, Skachenko, and Kyanna Collymore took seventh with a time of 47.86
- The 4x400m relay team of Collymore, Taylor, Jackson, and Skachenko added a sixth place finish with a time of 3:55.37
