ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The Prison Project Reset Task Force has been meeting since the end of the legislative session back in March. One member of that committee is District 23 Senator Mark Lapka(Lap-Key).
Lapka talks about the purpose of the task force.

Lapka discuss at one time was the projected location for the Mens prison in Lincoln County.
Lapka who was an appropriator for the South Dakota Legislature discuss one option of having multiple prisons around the state.
One concern about the prison is the issue of being on properties landowners may not want to cede. Eminent Domain could be an option. Lapka addresses that.
Lapka talks about the ultimate goal of the task force heading into a potential special session coming up in July.
Two more meetings are scheduled with the task force. One in June at Pierre and in July in Sioux Falls.
