Burnsville, MN (NSUWolves.com) – The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference released the 2025 All-Conference baseball teams today with Northern State University seniors Nick Friedges and Brennan Phillips honored. The pair earned second team accolades to close out their careers.
Friedges was one of just two players to start all 47 games for the Wolves in 2025. He hit .311 with 47 hits, ten doubles, and a team leading nine home runs. In addition, the Minnesota native scored 28 runs and led the team with 40 RBI and 11 stolen bases. He added a .570 slugging percentage and .429 on base percentage. In the field, Friedges recorded 111 assists and 69 putouts with just nine errors, notching a .952 fielding percentage. He tallied 11 multiple hit games for NSU and ranked in the top-15 of the league in home runs, and top-20 in RBI and slugging percentage this season. 2025 marks the first NSIC All-Conference honor of his career.
Phillips was the other Wolf to start all 47 games this season, leading the team with a .317 batting average. He tallied a team leading 52 hits, 12 doubles, and 34 runs scored, while adding one triple, three home runs, 30 RBI, and three stolen bases. Phillips notched a .457 slugging percentage and .430 on base percentage. As the team’s starting catcher, he recorded 267 putouts and 34 assists with a .980 fielding percentage, catching 17 stealing base runners. The Illinois native notched 14 multiple hit games on the year. Phillips earned NSIC All-Conference second team honors last season as well, closing out his career as a 2-time All-NSIC performer.
