Wolves Win Eight Events in Yankton

Yankton, SD (NSUWolves.com) – The Northern State University track and field teams kicked off their busy week at the Mount Marty Twilight on Wednesday. The Wolves tallied 49 top-10 finishes and eight event victories from the meet.
HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE MEN
  • Chris Weber raced to a winning time of 10.57 in the 100m, while Geoffrey Mannino took tenth in the 200m with a time of 22.53
  • Lincoln Woodring took on the 800m run, finishing in sixth with a time of 1:57.07
  • David VanVeen and Jacob Angerhofer took third and sixth in the 1500m with times of 4:04.43 and 4:08.87
  • Joel Matehs with 0.02 off the race winning time in the 110m hurdles, crossing the finish line in 14.84 in second overall, while Luke Campbell rounded out the top-10 with a time of 15.63
  • Four Wolves finish in the top-10 of the 400m hurdles including Drew Henriksen in third with a time of 56.71, Gracen Hansen in fourth with a time of 56.95, Campbell in sixth with a time of 58.18, and Greyson Schuetzle with a time of 1:00.70 in tenth
  • The 4x100m relay team of Drew Salfrank, Weber, Peyton Mausbach, and Ty Kadlec won the race with a time of 41.70, while the squad of Jesse Pietz, Jayden Munroe, Mannino, and Treyson Schulz took third with a time of 43.70
  • Jeff Boschee and Carter Moller took sixth and eighth in the high jump, clearing 1.86m and 1.81m respectively
  • Sam Tremelling and Eli Radtke were a one-two punch in the pole vault with marks of 4.97m and 4.82m
  • Isaac Ligon, Sean Juengst, and Talan Lunders followed in the pole vault taking seventh, eighth, and tenth with marks of 4.37m, 43.7m, and 4.07m
  • Schulz went on to take second in the triple jump with a 13.12m mark
  • Ethan Barnett, Justin Jacobson, and Sam Kreins took seventh through ninth in the shot put with throws of 15.31m, 15.18m, and 15.01m
  • Jacobson followed up that performance winning the discus with a 50.11m toss, while Barnett and Kaden St. Pierre took fifth and eighth throwing 46.91m and 44.53m
  • Carson Barnett and Levi Reis took first and second in the javelin, throwing 61.41m and 55.28m respectively, followed by Damon Roggenbuck in sixth with a 45.61m toss
HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE WOMEN
  • Renea Taylor won the 100m with a time of 11.96
  • Summer Carlson grabbed the second event win for the Wolves in the 800 with a time of 2:15.87, followed by Alli Jackson and Payton Kemnitz in second and fifth with times of 2:16.66 and 2:23.70
  • Jolie Dugan found her way into the top-10 of the 1500m, taking ninth with a time of 5:04.10
  • In the 5000m run, Abby Hasart took fifth, crossing the finish line in 18:59.33
  • Morgan Sheldon kicked off the hurdle events with a sixth place finish in the 100m hurdles, recording a time of 15.04
  • Emma Hunt added a tenth place finish in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:10.78
  • The 4x100m relay team of Elisabet Osk Jonsdottir, Taylor, Anna Skachenko, and Kyanna Collymore won the race in a time of 47.82
  • Tayla Dobrenski notched a sixth place finish in the high jump, clearing 1.61m
  • Bekah Walz and Romane Maugest took sixth and eighth in the pole vault with marks of 3.55m and 3.40m respectively
  • Kayden Cronin and Jonsdottir placed fifth and sixth in the triple jump with marks of 10.30m and 10.24m
  • Grace Kuch opened the throwing events, taking seventh with a toss of 12.65m, while Andi Mehrer took sixth in the discus, throwing 44.43m
  • Four Wolves landed in the top-10 of the javelin, led by Macoya Hansen throwing 37.76m in second
  • Jordan West took fourth with a toss of 35.46m, Kuch placed fifth throwing 34.58m, and Addison Cumbow took ninth with a 32.53m toss in the javelin
