Senator Rounds address comment on what DOGE has done so far in 2025

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(KELO)- The debate rages on over President Trumps Department of Government Efficiency – DOGE as it’s known.

Senator Mike Rounds’ offices have fielded nearly 23-hundred calls related to DOGE.

He appeared on the Greg Belfrage show Tuesday.

While mistakes have been made in the process, he says the goal of trimming government excess is worthy.

If you’re have troubles created by the DOGE efforts, Senator Rounds encourages you to call his office, as they’ve had success in making changes where they’re needed.

South Dakota’s U.S. Senators are on the same page when it comes to the Department of Government Efficiency – or Doge as it’s known.

Senate Majority leader John Thune says the public needs to give the budget cutting effort some time to work.

Senator Rounds repeated that theme on the Greg Belfrage show this morning.

Senator Rounds says his offices have fielded nearly 23-hundred calls on the DOGE efforts.

He says his staff has had a good amount of success in reversing moves that created

 unintended problems.
