Girls Golf

Harrisburg Invitational w/ Aberdeen Central; GGID: G25HARRIS

HARRISBURG, SD (HubCityRadio.com) – Entering her junior campaign with the Golden Eagles & perhaps some high expectations, Olivia Braun started the 2025 spring high school season off with a bang.

The junior was the only golfer on the afternoon to card a score in the sixties & she finished six shots ahead of the competition. Braun picked up four stroke birdie on the par-5 first hole & then also another birdie on the par-4 seventh hole, to shoot a 34 on the front nine in Harrisburg. She carded four birdies & a pair of bogeys on the back nine, en route to the medalist position at (-3, 68) for the breezy afternoon, six shots ahead of second place Maddie Childs of Mitchell.

Braun wasn’t the only Central golfer who had a stellar day; Emma Dohrer finished fifth overall with a (+7, 78) & Kyley Wirebaugh finished in seventh place, carding an eight over par, 79.

Collectively as a team, the Golden Eagles finished one stroke behind first place Mitchell for the day. Aberdeen Central returns to the links on Tuesday at the Huron QUAD. Check out the full team scores & individual leaderboard below.
