ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- Back on Thursday, Brown County Democrats elected leadership for the upcoming future.

The new Chair of the Democrats is Jory(Jor-e) Kuzman(Koos-men) and he introduce himself to the public.

The Vice-Chair is Erin Ronayne-Rudner who was a former candidate for District 3 House seat.  She talks about one of the goals they have going forward.

Kuzman talks about the party needing to do a better job communicating their message to the public.

Ronayne discuss wanting individuals to be themselves even if it doesn’t mean becoming a Democrat.

Another goal they would like to achieve is field more legislative candidates for the South Dakota House & Senate seats in the area.  Ronayne discuss this can be a difficult task at time.

One bill the South Dakota House was looking into was HB1180 that would require party affiliation to be required if you want to run for election for the city’s School Board.  The bill didn’t pass but Kuzman was asked if that’s something that should be done for city council seats.

Kuzman did address if this should apply for school boards.

Brown County Democrats hold luncheons on the second Monday of each month at the Pizza Ranch.
