SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(Northern Plains News)- South Dakota Governor Larry Rhoden has emerged as one of the most popular governors in the Northern Plains, with a plus-34 approval rating in a new Morning Consult poll.
North Dakota’s Governor Kelly Armstrong leads the region with a plus-49 rating.
Wyoming’s Governor Mark Gordon also posted strong numbers at plus-34, while Montana’s Governor Greg Gainforte sits at plus-22.
Minnesota’s Governor Tim Walz maintains a steady plus-17 while Nebraska’s Governor Jim Pillen shows a plus-15 rating.
Iowa’s Governor Kim Reynolds ranks as the nation’s least popular governor with a disapproval rating of minus-5, the only governor with more disapproval than approval.
Analyst say these ratings impact how effectively governors can implement policy priorities in their states.
