Aberdeen, SD (NSUWolves.com) – The Northern State University softball team fell to MSU- Moorhead in a pair of NSIC contests from Koehler Hall of Fame Field on Wednesday. Northern tallied 19 hits in the one and two run losses, however, gave up six costly unearned runs in total.

HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 1
- Northern scored first in the bottom of the third inning as Eden Ford crossed home plate on a passed ball
- The Dragons rallied back in the fifth, notching four runs, three of which were unearned on four hits
- The Wolves chipped away in the bottom of the frame on an Addy Hobza single up the middle, scoring Courtney Hennen
- MSU Moorhead matched that run in the sixth, however the Wolves cut the game to one in the bottom of the frame
- Emma Owens scored on a bases loaded walk to Alysa Lowe and Brooke Carlson scored on a bases loaded ground-out by Aune Boben
- The NSU defense held MSUM at bay in the seventh, however the Wolves were unable to capitalize in their final plate appearance of the game, leaving runners on first and third
- Abby Rux suffered the loss, giving up five runs, two earned, on 11 hits with six strikeouts
- Boben and Eden Ford led the team with two hits apiece, while Tevan Bryant notched the lone extra base hit of the contest for NSU
- Northern tallied four runs on seven hits with four defensive errors in the loss

- The Dragons scored first in the top of the second, while the Wolves tied the contest in the fourth on a double to left center by Brooke Carlson
- Avarie Eagle singled in Aune Boben in the fifth, grabbing the lead for NSU and the Wolves tacked on a trio of runs in the sixth
- In the sixth, Carlson scored on a bases loaded walk to Addy Hobza, Eden Ford scored on a sacrifice fly by Dessa Bryant, and Boben scored on a single through the left side by Eagle
- MSU Moorhead tied the game in the top of the seventh, scoring four runs and the game headed to extra innings following a one-two-three bottom of the frame
- The Dragons offense rallied in the eighth, notching three runs
- Boben scored the final run of the contest for NSU in the bottom of the eighth as NSU left two runners on second and third to close out the contest
- Northern scored their six runs on 12 hits with three errors defensively
- Boben started in the circle for NSU, tossing 6.2 innings of work, while Abby Rux entered in the seventh and suffered the loss
