NSU T&F Takes 6th In South Carolina

Myrtle Beach, SC (NSUWolves.com) [Day 1] – The Northern State University track and field teams opened their 2025 outdoor season on Thursday at the Al Connie Shamrock Invite in Myrtle Beach. The meet opened with the multi events, men’s hammer throw, and women’s javelin.
HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE MEN
  • Kaden St. Pierre tallied a personal record in the hammer, tossing 46.99m in 11th place overall
  • Sam Kreins and Justin Jacobson took 12th and 15th in the hammer with marks of 46.59m and 45.59m
HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE WOMEN
  • Morgan Sheldon sits second in the heptathlon with 2,755 points and three events remaining; she tallied marks of 15.27 in the 100m hurdles, 1.54m in the high jump, 11.24m in the shot put, and 27.48 in the 200m
  • Addison Cumbow is in eighth in the heptathlon with 2,195 points; notching marks o f16.23 in the 100m hurdles, 1.42m in the high jump, 8.63m in the shot put, and 29.26 in the 200m
  • Jordan West is just outside of the top-10 in 11th with 2,103 points; recording marks of 18.04 in the 100m hurdles, 1.42m in the high jump, 9.58m in the shot put, and 29.84 in the 200m

Myrtle Beach, SC (NSUWolves.com) [Day 2] – The Alan Connie Shamrock Invite concluded on Saturday with the Northern State University track and field teams taking sixth in both the men’s and women’s standings. The men tallied 60 points, while the women recorded 59.
HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE MEN
  • Chris Weber took seventh in the 100m with a time of 10.54, improving on his Friday prelims mark
  • Drew Salfrank and Carter Dingman took sixth and 13th in the 400m with times of 49.02 and 50.55 respectively
  • Drew Henriksen took seventh in the 400m hurdles with a time of 57.76, followed by Greyson Schuetzle in 4th with a time of 1:00.67
  • Ethan Barnett and Justin Jacobson placed fourth and eighth in the discus, throwing 44.94m and 44.27m respectively
  • Sam Tremelling won the pole vault, clearing 4.55m, while Talan Lunders took fifth with a vault of 3.80m
  • Three Wolves tallied top-10 finishes in the shot put, led by Sam Kreins with a personal best toss of 15.56m in third overall
  • Ethan Barnett and Jacobson followed in fourth and seventh with marks of 14.98m and 14.67m
  • The 4x100m relay team of Salfrank, Weber, Geoffrey Mannino, and Ty Kadlec took fifth, crossing the finish line in 41.98
  • Northen added a fifth place finish in the 4x400m with the team of Salfrank. Damon Roggenbuck, Henriksen, and Carter Dingman recording a time of 3:22.81
HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE WOMEN
  • Renea Taylor ran to a third place finish in the 100m with a time of 11.90
  • Kyanna Collymore clocked in a 1:00.19 in the 400m, taking eight overall
  • Taylor led two Wolves in the top-10 of the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:02.96 in second overall, while Elisabet Osk Jonsdottir took seventh with a time of 1:05.89
  • Emaleigh Olesiak ran to a 12th place finish in the mile, crossing the finish line in 5:29.24
  • In the 3000m steeplechase, Jolie Dugan took fifth with a time of 12:15.37
  • Andi Mehrer tallied a runner-up finish in the discus, throwing 39.68m, while Brooke Mushatt threw a personal best of 35.44m in 11th
  • Taylor Dobrenski and Morgan Sheldon took on the high jump, recording marks of 1.65m and 1.50m in eighth with 13th
  • Three Wolves landed in the top-10 of the pole vault, led by Romane Maugest with a fourth place finish and mark of 3.45m
  • Bekah Walz and Gitte Bellemans took fifth and eighth clearing 3.30m
  • Mehrer went on to take eighth in the shot put, throwing 11.46m, while Olivia Ashley rounded out the top-15 with a toss of 10.27m
  • Kayden Cronin added a seventh place finish in the open triple jump with a 9.76m mark
  • The 4x100m relay team of Jonsdottir, Taylor, Anna Skachenko, and Collymore tallied a time of 48.37 in sixth
