A Celebration of Life for Dustin “Dusty” Conn, 42, of Brookings, SD, and formerly Aberdeen, SD will be 1:00-3:00pm, Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home Fellowship Hall. Burial will be at Plainview Cemetery in Plainview, SD. Dusty died Wednesday, March 12, at Ava’s House in Sioux Falls, SD.
Dustin “Dusty” Conn was born on January 8, 1983, to Richard and Diane (Jordan) Conn in Aberdeen, SD. He grew up in Aberdeen and attended Simmons Elementary, Simmons Junior High, and graduated from Central High School in 2003. Dusty was part of Boy Scouts and was active in many sports including basketball, soccer, and wrestling.
Throughout his life, Dusty worked various jobs from working at Pounders to landscaping with his Dad and brother.
Dusty was a unique person with many talents. He was always creating something and spent a lot of time painting, drawing, and building sculptures. His sense of style was very unique and he wore multiple different leather coats. Another passion of his was music and collecting guitars. He enjoyed watching Nascar, WWE, and had a lot of love for 90’s era wrestlers.
Family was very important to Dusty, and he took care of anyone who needed him. The last couple years of his life he spent a lot of quality time in Brookings with his brother and family. He was very close with his neice and nephews and spent a lot of time with them. They would often do dinner and a movie.
Grateful for having shared Dusty’s life are his siblings: Jon (LeAnn) Conn, Alicia Conn, and Sammi Conn-Ensaldo (Carlos Ensaldo); nieces and nephews: Jackson Conn, Cooper Conn, Briggs Conn, Gibson Ensaldo, Lennix Ensaldo, and Anderson Ensaldo; uncle, Dan (Jayne) Jordan, and aunt, Darlene Jordan.
Preceding Dusty in death are his grandparents, Pearl and Alvin Conn and Herman and Altha Jordan; parents, Diane & Richard Conn; uncle, Don Jordan; and cousins, Ricky Jordan and Mary Stringfellow
