Sioux Falls, SD (NSUWolves.com) – The Northern State University wrestling team finished eighth from the NCAA Super Region V Tournament on Saturday, earning 41.5 team points. Sloan Johannsen, Wyatt Turnquist, and Damen Pape each advanced to the third place matches, however fell and took fourth. Griffin Lundeen was the final Wolf in the placing matches, competing in the fifth place bout and taking sixth.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Johannsen went 3-2 on the day with wins over Jaxton Packer of Sioux Falls (TF 17-1), Mason Gutenberger of UMary (Dec 10-6), and Carlo Arreola of Southwest Minn. State (Fall 5:15); he fell in the semifinal round to region champion No. 3 Rohman of Augustana and No. 12 Knopick of St. Cloud State in the third place match
