Crossover day held Tuesday, update on bills primed by District 1 legislators

PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- Tuesday was Crossover Day at the South Dakota Legislature.  That the day where bills starting in their respective chamber must either be passed or failed by the end of the day.

Here’s an update on bills primed by members of District 1 and where they stand.

Representative Logan Manhart:

Representative Manhart primed 3 bills in the SD House.

HB1201(Counselors require to inform parents on gender ideology)- SD House defeat bill 40-28

HB1202(Bitcoin Bill)- House Commerce & Energy defeat bill on 9-3 vote

HCR6006(Bitcoin Resolution)- withdrawn(tabled)

Representative Christopher Reder:

Representative Reder primed 2 bills in the SD House.

HB1076(Veterans Benefits Bill)- SD House defeat bill on 40-30 to not calendar the bill

HB1188(Military Waterfowl License)- SD House pass bill on 65-3 vote

Senator Michael Rohl:

Senator Rohl primed 11 bills in the SD Senate(not including 5 bills still alive in the SD House)

SB9(Make public calendar of state officials)- SD Senate defeat bill on 18-16 vote

SB10(Shorten time Gov & Lt Gov record to be made public)- Signed by Governor Rhoden

SB11(Limit political contribution from inactive candidates)- House State Affairs defeat bill on 9-3 vote

SB12(Limit money loaned to political candidate or committee)- Signed by Governor Rhoden

SB17(Clarify when political committee submit financial reports)- Signed by Governor Rhoden

SB71(Age for school attendance)- Signed by President(Lt Gov Tony Venhuizen)

SB127(Money municipalities can use for extra holidays)- SD Senate passed on 31-3 vote

SB128(Amend requirement for official newspaper)- SD Senate passed on 35-0 vote

SB129(Renewal fee requirements/municipality)- SD House Local Government passed on 10-3 vote

SB203(Raise minimum age for lottery tickets)- SD Senate defeat bill on 23-11 vote
