Marvin Beckler, 83, of Tulare, SD, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at the Good Samaritan Society in Miller, SD.
Marvin was born on March 7, 1941, in Hitchcock, SD, to Charles and Louisa (Lout) Beckler and grew up on a farm in rural Tulare. He married Janie Nichols and had a son and daughter.
Marvin was a Minnesota Vikings fan and watched them on Sundays. He enjoyed bowling, doing senior games, farming, and playing with his two grandsons.
He is survived by his son Daniel (Wanita) Beckler and two grandsons of Tulare; daughter Tamera Maly of Houston, TX; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and former wife Janie Peters of Blackwell, TX. Marvin is preceded in death by his parents, stepsister, and twin brother at birth.
Visitation will be held at Hyke Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 5pm to 7pm with a prayer service at 7pm.
The funeral service for Marvin will be at 10:30am on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Tulare United Church in Tulare with Pastor Rey Colón officiating. After a time for lunch and fellowship, his graveside service will follow at Altoona Cemetery in Hitchcock.
