Lincoln, NE (NSUWolves.com) – The Northern State University track and field teams closed out the Frank Sevigne Husker Invite with eight top-10 finishes and three more top-15 finishes. In addition, the Wolves in competition notched six season and personal best times.
HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE MEN
- Chris Weber ran to an eighth place finish in the 60m with a time of 8.68
- Dylan Schimke took 11th in the 600m with a season best time of 1:22.91
- Nathan Alto and Jonathan Burkhalter took fifth and sixth in the 3000m with times of 8:35.44 and 8:36.71; Burkhalter’s time was a personal best for the senior
- Jayden Munroe was back in action with a seventh place finish in the triple jump with a bound of 13.49m
- The 4x400m relay team of Drew Salfrank, Carter Dingman, Joel Matehs, and Seth Martens finished in fifth with a time of 3:17.07
HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE WOMEN
- Renea Taylor improved upon her prelims mark in the 60m, running a new season best time of 7.66 in fourth overall
- Taylor followed up her 60m performance with a 13th place finish in the 200m and season best time of 25.16
- Alli Jackson landed in the top-10 of the 600m with a personal best and record break time of 1:36.85 in sixth overall
- Summer Carlson added an eighth place finish in the 800m, crossing the finish line in 2:17.84
- The 4x400m relay team of Anna Skachenko, Jackson, Kyanna Collymore, and Carlson ran to a new season best of 4:01.69 in 12th overall
UP NEXT
The Wolves return to action Friday and Saturday, February 14 and 15 back in Brookings. They will take part in the SDSU Classic from the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex. Events begin at 4 p.m. on Friday and 12 p.m. on Saturday.
