ABERDEEN, S.D.(Press Release) – Alumni of the 2023 Leadership Aberdeen Class, along with the Aberdeen Area Chamber of Commerce, Aberdeen Downtown Association and the Aberdeen Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, will be kicking off the 3rd Annual Aberdeen Burger Battle on March 15th. Net proceeds from the event, which runs through April 30, 2025, will benefit the Salvation Army of Aberdeen. Their goal is to secure event sponsors and donations for food insecurity programs facilitated by the Salvation Army, while also showcasing the great burgers Aberdeen restaurants have to offer.
Burger connoisseurs will be able to visit 18 participating restaurants and rate each of the burgers they try. Ultimately the burger with the highest overall ratings will be unveiled and celebrated on Thursday, May 8th as part of the Chamber’s Business After Hours Mixer at NVC. The voting website will also provide information about the Salvation Army, its mission to fight hunger, and will provide a format for local participants to contribute to the cause.
Participating restaurants include Barbeque Twist, Bath Quick Stop, Buffalo Wild Wings, Circus Sports Bar & Grill, City Lights Bar and Event Center, Danger Von Dempsey’s Pizza + Brewhaus, Lager’s Inn, LaRue’s, Maverick’s Steak and Cocktails, Minerva’s, Mulligan’s, Pounders, Red Rooster Coffee House, Richmond Oasis, The Market on the Plaza, The Zoo Bar, Three22 Kitchen + Cocktails, and Wakeside Bar and Grill.
