Roger Martin Genung, 65, of Aberdeen, South Dakota, was tragically and unexpectedly lost on December 26, 2024.
Roger came into the world in Aurora, Illinois on November 6, 1959. Roger and his brother Robert were adopted by Lewellyn and Martha Genung when he was two years old and lived in several cities in Illinois before moving to Westerville, Ohio in 1974. Roger was an amazing Chef and a drummer for several local bands.
Roger’s unexpected passing comes as a shock to his family, friends, and loved ones, who are still reeling at the loss. He lived a vibrant life and still had so much ahead of him. He was taken far too soon.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents Martha and Lew Genung, an older brother Robert Jeffery and a sister Cheryl Cart and is survived by his brothers Robert Genung, Daniel (Diana) Jeffery, Keith (DonnaKay) Frisby and four nieces and two nephews.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, February 1 from 1-3 p.m. at The Flame Steakhouse for those who would like to pay their respects.
