PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Wednesday morning, Governor Larry Rhoden nominated Tony Venhuizen to be the next Lieutenant Governor for the state of South Dakota.

Venhuizen is ready to take on the role of Lieutenant Governor.
Venhuizen comment on the budget delivered by former Governor Kristi Noem back in December.
One bill Venhuizen proposed was lowering property taxes by increasing the state sales tax to 5%. Both he and Governor Rhoden commented on where that goes now.
Venhuizen still needs to be approved by both the South Dakota House & Senate.
