PIERRE, S.D(HubCityRadio)- District 1 Senator Michael Rohl presented SB9 to the South Dakota Senate State Affairs Committee Wednesday.
SB9 make public the calendars and appointment logs of certain public officials.
Senator Rohl tells the committee that other states across the country are already doing this.
Rohl describe the purpose of the bill.
Among the opposition to the bill was Commissioner of Schools & Public Lands, Brock Greenfield.
Greenfield believes there should be separation between private and public business.
Senator Rohl responded to those oppose to the bill.
The committee voted 7-2 to refer it to the 41st day thus killing the bill.
