Ramona Kay Trude was born August 8, 1939, to Charles and Gladys (Stroup) Trude in Aberdeen, SD. She grew up in Aberdeen and graduated from Central High School.

On July 24, 1956, Ramona was united in marriage to Richard Hanna in Hutchinson, KS. Ramona and Rich started their family, and Ramona was a stay-at-home mother. In 1965, they moved to Reseda, CA. While living in California, they were active in the Van Nuys Presbyterian Church. Ramona started working at Baskin Robins and was soon managing two locations. In 1978, they moved back to Aberdeen and Ramona started working at Taco Bell. She was later offered the Regional Manager position, so they moved to Fargo, ND, in 1990. Ramona retired in 2001, and they moved to Aberdeen. Ramona and Rich bought a place in Yuma, AZ. They wintered there for many years. While in Yuma, they were affiliate members of the Presbyterian Church. Ramona was always active in the churches they attended, and in Yuma, she volunteered many hours at their thrift store.

Ramona loved to sing in the church choir. In her younger years she was talented at sewing and made her children’s clothing. She sold Princess House crystal and made many beautiful cakes, including her children’s wedding cakes. Ramona enjoyed teaching others how to bake and decorate cakes. She was outgoing and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She volunteered at Mother Joseph Manor for over 10 years. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren.
