ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The 100th South Dakota Legislative session gets underway on Tuesday. Legislators from District 3 preview what to look for.
CO2 Pipeline:
Representative Brandei Schaefbauer believes a number of bills relating to eminent domain & local control will be discussed.
Senator-elect Carl Perry preview a rally coming up Monday in Pierre.
Representative-elect Al Novstrup discuss possible bill to deal with eminent domain for the pipeline.
Perry discuss possible committee assignment for these type of bills.
Taxes:
One interesting proposal is a suggesstion from Representative Tony Venhuizen about lowering property taxes by possibly increasing the state sales tax from 4.2 up to 5%. Each legislator responded to that.

Possible cutting funds for SDPB:
One thing mentioned was the likelihood of cutting spending to various programs. One of them is SDPB. Each legislator responded to that.

One thing Governor Noem did bring up is funding needed for the Richmond Lake Project. Novstrup was asked how likely this could happen.
