Donald “Donnie” Jondahl, 79, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Avera St. Luke’s Aberdeen, SD.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 10:30 am, Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Diane Hoines officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral.
Military Honors will follow the service in the church parking lot. A time of fellowship and luncheon will follow the Military Honors at the church hall.
Burial will be later at Falnes Lutheran Cemetery in Langford, SD.

Donald “Donnie” Neal Jondahl was born May 22, 1945, to Olger and Alice (Holland) Jondahl in Britton, SD. He graduated from Langford High School in 1963.
Don was drafted to serve in the Vietnam War in the summer of 1969 and returned in the spring of 1971. He received a Purple Heart, 3 Bronze Service Stars, a Good Conduct Medal, and many others.
Donald married Jolaine Nietert on November 30, 1974; they had three children: Trish, Tami, and Tanner. Donnie loved his children fiercely and absolutely adored his eight grandchildren.
He was an active member of the Yelduz Shrine for over 30 years. Donnie enjoyed woodworking, buying and selling just about anything, riding his motorcycle, and working on house projects for his kids. He loved doing anything and everything for his grandkids.
Don held various jobs throughout his life; he owned his own bar and a grocery store. He retired from South Dakota Wheat Growers.
Don is survived by his children: Trish (Marissa) Jondahl of Aberdeen, SD, Tami (Scott) Roberts of Whitewood, SD, and Tanner (Teri) Jondahl of Aberdeen, SD; brother Rodney (Leone) Jondahl; and eight grandchildren: McKenzie Holty, Kaden Jondahl, Ella Roberts, Ainsley Roberts, Emersyn Jondahl, Avalon Jondahl, Duke Jondahl, and Finley Jondahl.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.
