WASHINGTON, D.C.(KCCR)- President-elect Donald Trump has created a division of government called the Department of Government Efficiency or DOGE, D-O-G-E.  The entity, to be led by entrepreneurs Elon Musk and Vivik Ramaswamy, look to cut government waste.  South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds says the Essential Air Service program, which provides subsidized air service to Pierre, Watertown and Aberdeen is safe from DOGE.

Rounds says DOGE isn’t likely to get so specific with changes.

Rounds will also have a front seat to DOGE’s progress.

Possible changes could include moving some departments and operations out of Washington D-C to other parts of the country.
