PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- The Pierre City Commission is considering a three-percent across the board increase in utility rates for 2025. Utilities Director Brad Palmer says Pierre has seen fairly steady rates for a number of years.
Palmer says compared to other cities, Pierre’s utility rates are in the middle or lower than average.
Palmer says, on average, the proposed changes would result in an increase of less than 10-dollars per month.
The Pierre City Commission will consider second reading and adoption of three rate change ordinances, one for each utility, at it’s regular meeting next week.
