Three NSIC Squads Head to Central Regional (W/Soc)

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (NSUWolves.com) – The NSIC will send three teams to the NCAA Central Region soccer tournament as Concordia-St. Paul, Minnesota State and St. Cloud State will advance to NCAA postseason play.

The NSIC regular season and tournament champions of Minnesota State (14-1-6) earned the second seed and will host seventh seeded St. Cloud State (11-3-5) in the opening round in Mankato, Minnesota on Friday, November 22 at 1 p.m.  This marks the second straight NCAA postseason appearance for St. Cloud State and 17th for MSU.

Concordia-St. Paul (13-3-4) earned the sixth seed and will take on the three seed of Missouri Western (15-2-3) on Friday, November 22 at 10 a.m. in Mankato, Minnesota.  The Golden Bears are making their second NCAA appearance and first since 2019.

The NSIC, the Mid-America Athletic Association (MIAA) and the Great American Conference (GAC) make up the 35-team NCAA Central Region. The top eight teams in the region will advance to the NCAA region tournament. The two top-seeded teams in each region shall be offered the opportunity to host, provided minimum site selection criteria are met and a bid has been submitted.  Automatic bids are granted to the winners of the MIAA, GAC and NSIC postseason tournaments, with the remaining five spots awarded on an at-large basis.

The first/second round matches of the regional tournament will take place on campus on November 22-24 while third/quarter final rounds will be contested at campus sites on December 1 & 7.

The 2024 NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer Semifinal and Championship will take place on December 13 & 15 at Sportsplex at Matthews in Matthews, North Carolina; hosted by Wingate University.
