ABERDEEN, S.D.(Press Release) – Two people died early Saturday morning in a single vehicle crash eight miles northeast of Aberdeen, SD.
Preliminary crash information indicates Zachary Deen Rathert, the driver, and a passenger, Kyle Anthony Tempel, were traveling westbound on Brown County 13 near the intersection of 393rd Avenue in a 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander. The vehicle left the roadway and entered the ditch, then vaulted off the shoulder at the intersection. The vehicle rolled, ejecting both occupants. Both received fatal injuries.
All information released so far is only preliminary.
The Highway Patrol is an agency of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
