CALIFORNIA(DRGNews)- As he watches how is current project, “Lost on a Mountain in Maine” is doing in theaters around the United States, a former Pierre resident hasn’t lost sight of the movie he released five years ago.
Andrew Kightlinger, who now lives in California, filmed much of “Tator Tot and Patton” in the Pierre and Fort Pierre area. He says he wants to make more movies in his home state.
Kightlinger brought in friends from film school to play the lead roles in “Tator Tot and Patton,” but local residents and locations were also used. His current production, “Lost on a Mountain in Maine” was released in around 700 movie theaters across the country on Nov. 1, 2024.
