SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(KELO)- The ad war is getting hotter in the campaign over legalizing recreational marijuana in South Dakota.

Sponsor Matthew Schweich of South Dakotans for Better Marijuana Laws says opposition ads have crossed a line.

He says the ads claim other drugs would also be legalized if Initiated Measure 29 passes.

Rhonda Milstead, Executive Director of the group “Protecting South Dakota Kids,” says that isn’t true.

She says the ads only try to point out the negative consequences of legalizing marijuana.

Milstead says her group has no plans to pull down its ads.
