NSU’s Adams Named NSIC DPOW

Burnsville, MN (NSUWolves.com)  – In the sixth installment of the Northern Sun weekly football release, Northern State University sophomore Jake Adams earned Defensive Player of the Week honors. Adams is the first Wolf this season to be honored by the league office.

NSIC Defensive Player of the Week – #54 Jake Adams (LB, 6-0, 220, So., Pulaski, Wis. / Pulaski HS)
– Led the NSIC with 20 tackles in a 14-13 win over BSU
– Recorded 15 solo stops and added a pass break-up
– Became the NCAA Division II national leader with 86 total tackles, averaging 14.3 per game
– In addition, leads the country with 45 solo tackles and 41 assisted tackles

  • Adams will be featured on the next edition of “Pack Chat” w/ David Tukesbrey; that interview will air on Saturday against MN-Duluth @ halftime on Fox Sports Aberdeen.
