WATERTOWN, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – An 88-year-old man passed away on Wednesday from injuries he received in a two-vehicle crash near Watertown.
The crash happened around 10 a.m. on June 27. The driver of a 2022 AGCO Terragotor crop sprayer was making a left turn from 455th Avenue into a field approach when the driver of a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox attempted to pass and collided with the tractor.
Both drivers were not injured. A male passenger in the Equinox suffered serious, life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. He passed away on July 3 from his injuries.
Both drivers and the male passenger were wearing seatbelts.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. All information released so far is only preliminary.
