SCSU out-hit WSC .347-.187, but the Wildcats still had a tight battle in a 5-set loss to the Huskies. SCSU had 22 more digs and ten more blocks in the win, as they extended their school-record winning streak to 16.

The Vikings fought off four match points in the 4th set to force a 5th and held a 14-10 lead in the final game, but the Warriors went on a 7-1 run to grab the “W” after fighting off four match points of their own in the last set.

The NCAA DII Volleyball selection show will be streamed online at 6:30p (CT) Monday on NCAA.com. SCSU will receive an automatic bid for winning the NSIC Tourney, while the MIAA & GAC auto-bids go to Central MO and AR Tech, respectively. Central MO & SCSU were the top two teams in the final Central Region Rankings. NW MO was ranked 3rd and fell to Central MO in the MIAA finals. Washburn was ranked 4th and got eliminated by NW MO in the semis. WSU was sitting 5th in the region and made the NSIC Tourney finals. The 6th-ranked NE-Kearney squad was knocked out in the MIAA semis by Central MO.

If those teams all get in, one spot would remain. The remaining teams ranked in the top ten were #7 CSP (NSIC QF’s loss to AU), #8 WSC (NSIC semis loss to SCSU), #9 OK Baptist (GAC finals loss to AR Tech – 16-14 record), and #10 SMSU (NSIC QF’s loss to SCSU).
