PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- The Covid Relief Liaison Committee of the South Dakota legislature heard plans from state agencies on how to spend almost one billion dollars in federal relief dollars.

Tourism Department Secretary Jim Hagen says they have plans to expand the state’s marketing.

Hagen says they have a new campaign in the works.

Hagen says marketing dollars come back to the state many times.

Hagen says the amount they request will be refined and submitted as part of the Governor’s budget proposal.
