YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- The “American Rescue Plan” passed by Congress earlier this year will send money directly to cities and counties that had revenue losses tied to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Yankton County Commission Chair Cheri Loest told the commission last week their share will be four point four million dollars.
Loest says the rules with the money give them some flexibility.
Loest says she would like to see the county shift more funding to roads and bridges.
Loest says they have their accounts set up to receive at least half the money in the next few weeks.
